For those who are not aware, we have embarked on a "Norling Library Education & Maintenance Fund". To build a library is no easy feat and to maintain it is even more challenging. Norling was officially opened in July 2007 and as of last year when I visited, the place definitely needs a new coat of paint, not to mention the replacement broken windows through vandalism and change of weather conditions (expansion and contraction duirng the summer/winter period) and the high electricity bills during the harsh winter months. We have distributed coin boxes to various homes. Through this exercise we hope to inculcate the values of saving and sharing in the hearts of the young ones as well as all family members.
